Paul Torrens Health Forum – Vaping and E-Cigarettes: Risky Behaviors and Public Health

Across the US, vaping has been linked to hundreds of cases of severe lung illness and even death, causing the Surgeon General to declare e-cigarette use among youth an epidemic. Additionally, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to ban flavored tobacco products and has appealed to the governor for a statewide vaping ban. At the first Paul Torrens Health Forum of this academic year, we’ll explore how providers and public health educators are addressing this risky behavior and how the regulatory and policy environment around it impacts public health.
